The Construction Plant Certificate Scheme (CPCS) is an initative of Construction Skills (formally known as the CITB). It is the recognised training standard for plant in the construction industry and is enforced by many companies in particular the major house builders.
If you work in the construction industry and operate plant you will need to hold a CPCS card with the appropriate category on the back of the card for the plant being operated. To do this you will required to pass the Health & Safety test (touch screen test) and enroll on an NVQ relevant to your work. To achieve a full competancy card you will need to sit a final end test for the plant category required. This category will be shown on the back of your card when you acheive the NVQ.
Seaham Safety Services Ltd can claim available grants to pay for the cost of obtaining CSCS cards. To discuss this further just give us a call. To find out more about CPCS you can call us on the number at the top of this page, email us or click here.
