Site Safety Awareness

 
COURSE AIMS
 
This course provides a practical summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues to enable the individual to understand potential hazards they may face on site.
 
The course also identifies the individual's responsibility in looking after themselves and others.
 
COURSE CONTENT
 
The course will cover the following topics:
 
  • Understanding and the need to prevent accidents
  • Health and Safety law
  • Individual roles and how they fit into the control and management of the site
  • Risk assessments and method statements
  • Reporting unsafe acts to prevent an accident  
COURSE BENEFITS
 
After completing the course participants should be aware of potential hazards they may face on site and be aware of the responsibility that needs to be taken to practice safety in the workplace.
 
The participant will receive a Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Site Safety Awareness certificate on completion of the course.
 
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
 
The course is ideal for anyone who is about to work, or has just begun to work within the industry.  The course is an essential foundation for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card and a natural progression from this course would be to attend the Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme or Supervisor Specialist Skills course.
